College Of Dupage Sonography Program

The college accepts 20 to 24 students in the diagnostic medical sonography program each year, and the curriculum is 15 months in length. Coursework includes clinical site work at a variety of hospitals and clinics. Single parents can apply for assistance with the Women's Resource Center, regardless of gender.

The medical sonography program focuses on teaching the problem solving and technical skills necessary to provide quality patient care. Students are encouraged to practice skills they learn in the campus health lab, where manikins and state of the art equipment provide reinforcement to theories studied in the classroom.

The College of DuPage is the largest public school in the Chicago metropolitan area to provide sonography training. Students can also pursue programs in fields like radiography, nuclear medicine, dental hygiene, and surgical technology. This 2-year school offers three sonography programs, including two certificates and one associate's degree.
